DENZEL Bowles wasted no time trying to learn his new team’s system, joining TNT KaTropa practice shortly after his arrival on Monday.
TNT coach Nash Racela confirmed the former Star Hotshots import will suit up for the KaTropa in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Bowles arrived in the morning and went to practice in the afternoon, according to Racela.
“We think he could help us be competitive this conference,” Racela said.
Bowles led B-Meg to the 2012 Commissioner’s Cup crown and suited up for the rebranded Star Hotshots in the 2016 Commissioner’s Cup but was later released reportedly due to a family errand.
The former PBA Best Import joins a team that was on top of his wish list in December, when he declared on a social media post that he was “done with stars.”
Bowles a few days ago said he will “never again” play for the Hotshots and criticized former Star coach Jason Webb.
He joins TNT KaTropa after playing in Lebanon in January.
