RAIN or Shine will have to play the remainder of the second half without Denzel Bowles.
The enigmatic bruiser hurt his left leg in the second quarter of the Elasto Painters' duel against Alaska Saturday in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Bowles' left knee collided with Aces swingman Jeron Teng as he tried to shuffle for the rebound play.
He immediately winced in pain as he was immediately taken back to the Rain or Shine locker room at the 4:03 mark of the period.
"I can feel my muscles here (right leg), but not here (left leg)," he said as the team PTs tended to him.
Team doctors added that with Bowles still feeling some pain in the knee, he will no be ruled out of the game and will be taken to Cardinal Santos Medical Center for further observation.
Bowles tallied 16 points and four rebounds before hurting his leg in the first half.
Rain or Shine currently leads Alaska, 39-36, as it is looking to snap a two-game losing skid and get itself back in the playoff race with its 3-5 win-loss card.
