BARANGAY Ginebra coach Tim Cone was one of the well-wishers of Rain or Shine import Denzel Bowles, who suffered a leg injury during Saturday’s game against Alaska.
Cone, through his Twitter account, expressed his hope that Bowles can still play for his team this conference following the injury.
“So sorry to hear the news about Denzel @Denzel_Bowles. Great guy, great teammate. Loved coaching him. I hope he makes it back into the conference,” Cone wrote an hour after Barangay Ginebra battled Magnolia on Sunday night.

Cone coached Bowles during his first PBA run in the 2012 Commissioner’s Cup where the then B-Meg Llamados won the conference title with Bowles hitting two free throws in the final seconds of Game Seven of the finals series.
Rain or Shine is hoping for the best after Bowles’ leg hit Jeron Teng in the second quarter of Rain or Shine’s 86-84 win over Alaska.
Rain or Shine coach Caloy Garcia said Bowles was brought to the hospital during halftime after “something cracked in his knee.”
“Most probably, he will be out,” Garcia said.
