SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan - David Murrell scored on a transition dunk with 30.2 seconds left to give Blackwater a 109-107 win over NLEX in a PBA on Tour game on Wednesday.
Murrell converted the game-winner after the Bossing forced a turnover to win the first of five exhibition games being held while the 50th Season Governors’ Cup is on a break due to the participation of Gilas Pilipinas in the Asian Games.

NLEX failed to score in its final possessions, with Evan Nelle and Lorenz Capulong missing on their attempts.
Murrell’s game-winner was one of the dunks that he displayed in the exhibition game at the San Jose Del Monte Sports Complex.
Both squads played without an import with Blackwater reinforcement Kentrell Barkley still not back in Manila. Deondre Burton made the trip to the Bulacan city but was in street clothes.

NLEX’s Robert Bolick and Blackwater’s Sedrick Barefield are in Aichi-Nagoya for Gilas Pilipinas' defense of the Asian Games men's basketball gold medal.
Dalph Panopio topscored for Blackwater with 20 points followed by RK Ilagan with 19. Mike DiGregorio added 16 points while Murrell had 12 for the Bossing.
