VETERAN Dave Marcelo goes for a sweep of the Skills Challenge among bigs in this week's PBA All-Star festivities after joining the Long Distance Three-Point contest as a last-minute replacement.
The 6-foot-5 banger will replace injured NLEX teammate Sean Anthony in the Three-Point shootout. Marcelo is likewise entered in the Obstacle Course where he is the reigning champion.
Joining Marcelo in the first-ever Long Distance shootout among the big boys are Christian David (Blackwater), Keith Zaldivar (Converge), Ralph Cu (Barangay Ginebra), James Laput (Magnolia), Raymond Almazan (Meralco), JM Calma (Northport), Jason Perkins (Phoenix), Leonard Santillan (Rain or Shine), Mo Tautuaa (San Miguel), Isaac Go (Terrafirma), and Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser (TNT).
Meanwhile, out to dethrone Marcelo in the Obstacle Challenge are Christian Standhardinger (Barangay Ginebra), Clifford Jopia (Blackwater), Justin Arana (Converge), Laput (Magnolia), Almazan (Meralco), Calma (Northport), Perkins (Phoenix), Santillan (Rain or Shine), Tautuaa (San Miguel) Go (Terrafirma) and Ganuelas-Rosser (TNT).
Last year, Marcelo beat Standhardinger and former champion Beau Belga in the Obstacle Course finals.
