TALK 'N Text veteran forward Danny Seigle on Monday called on the PBA to draw the line on what he termed as 'character defamation' in the ongoing PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals against Rain or Shine.
Seigle, one of six candidates shortlisted for the league's commissionership, issued the call in an Instagram post while in the middle of a heated finale marred by highly physical play, bickering and name-calling.
"I totally get the psy-war tactics going on in this series," sais Seigle, "but where do we draw the line with the constant character defamation through interviews in the media?"
Seigle spoke a day after Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao called Talk 'N Text import Ivan Johnson 'mentally unstable' and a 'menace' in a verbal sparring that has gone on for much of the series.
Johnson has since fired back, saying Guiao is 'too old' to be making 'foolish' comments in a rare interview he granted to Spin.ph at the end of the Texters practice on Monday at the Hoops Center.

Seigle said: "Ivan has a family, wife and children. This will not be his only job and it is not fair to him to have his rep *(reputation) smeared just because it is allowed."
"Responsibility lies in our association to have some form of regulation when it comes to these matters," the many-time All-Star added.
He introduced his post with the line, 'What you allow is what will continue.'
