THE guard who manned the backcourt for the Batang Gilas side that once featured the tandem of Kai Sotto and AJ Edu is throwing his name in the PBA Season 50 draft.
Fil-Italian guard Dalph Panopio has made himself available for the Sept. 7 proceedings at the Mall of Asia after submitting his application papers on Tuesday.

Panopio, 25, served as the primary playmaker of the Batang Gilas team that saw action in the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup in Greece.
Sotto and Edu were among the teammates of Panopio in that Batang Gilas unit that also featured Carl Tamayo, Gerry Abadiano, Dave Ildefonso, Xyrus Torres, Geo Chiu, among others.
The 6-foot guard had a brief stint with the Suwon KT Sonicboom but didn't get to suit up in the Korean Basketball League after he was released due to a herniated disc injury.
He later played in the INBL of India with Mumbai and posted averages of 14.9 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.7 rebounds.
Panopio was a product of CSU Bakersfield, a US NCAA Division 1 school.
