ALASKA forward Cyrus Baguio was not about to sulk after his hero moment in Game 4 was spoiled by a gallant stand by San Miguel in overtime of Game 4 on Sunday night.
“Tatanggapin namin, talo talaga kami eh,” he said after the Aces failed to close out Game 4 and the series following a 104-110 loss to a June Mar Fajardo-less San Miguel side in the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.
So siguro learn from our mistakes sa game na ito.”
After leading by as much as 11 points, 93-82, with less than four minutes left in the regulation, the Aces were stunned by the Beermen as Arwind Santos handed San Miguel the lead, 94-93, after a layup with 28 seconds left to play.
Baguio almost saved the day for Alaska after his clutch triple that led the game to overtime, 98-98, but they couldn't finish the job in extra time as the Beermen poured on the heat.
“Wala eh.
Although they still lead San Miguel, 3-1, in the best-of-seven series, the 35-year-old forward warned about the danger of once again falling into a state of complacency.
