CONVERGE is not about to push the panic button as far as import is concerned in its PBA Governors Cup campaign.
Head coach Delta Pineda said the FiberXers are willing to give Jalen Hudson some more time to adjust and adapt to the FiberXers’ system.

Hudson struggled offensively on Wednesday night against Terrafirma, finishing with only two points on 1-of-14 shooting in a close 105-103 FiberXers win at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“Bigyan pa natin ng pagkakataon. Last game nag-perform naman yung import namin,” he said of Hudson, who debuted for Converge with 20 points in a 105-74 rout of import-less Titan Ultra last week.
Import woes were among the issues Converge had to deal with in the last Commissioner’s Cup as 7-foot- Kylor Kelley failed to fit in the FiberXers’ scheme of things.

That wasn’t lost on Pineda.
“Nakikita n'yo ba 'yung magkamukha nung last conference at ngayon,” the Converge coach asked members of the press.
But Pineda appears to be patient with Hudson, who previously had a stint with TNT.
“Maybe yung import namin ngayon hindi makuha yung rhythm niya for this game,” he said. “Yun ang wala sa amin right now, yung scoring ng import for this game.”
In contrast, Hudson’s Terrafirma counterpart Justin Strings erupted for 40 points on 19-of-34 shooting from the floor, while grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing off five assists.
“Maybe this game, siguro nanibago lang,” Pineda added about Hudson.
