THE Converge FiberXers announced on Wednesday that they have terminated the contract of reserve guard Mac Tallo for his five-game stint in a Cebu tournament that didn't have the blessings of both the PBA and his mother ballclub.

In a post on its social media pages, the Dennis Uy-owned balllcub said they made the decision to part ways with the Cebuano guard 'after a thorough investigation' into Tallo's appearance in the Sinulog Cup games back home.
Tallo was signed by Converge to a two-year deal believed to be in excess of P7 million before the start of the season. That deal has now been terminated due to what the team said were 'several infractions' committed by the player.

The team's announcement came just two days after PBA commissioner Willie Marcial hit the six-foot guard with a P100,000 fine for the violation of his UPC contract, which explicitly bars players from playing in unsanctioned tournaments, unless given permission by the league and his team.
Asked about a possible termination of Tallo's contract, Marcial said it is a process that will eventually go through the league.
