CONVERGE has brought in a new import in Jamil Wilson in a bid to salvage its campaign in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
The 33-year-old Wilson is taking the place of Tom Vodanovich as Converge import after a 0-5 start to the season.
Brief NBA stint
Wilson suited up recently in Uruguay, Italy, and Russia before signing up with the FiberXers.
The 6-foot-7 player also had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA through a two-way contract with the ballclub and their G League affiliate Agua Caliente Clippers in 2017.
Wilson eligible for NorthPort game
He also saw action for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the G League in 2018.
Converge submitted the notice of an import change to the league on Tuesday, making Wilson eligible to play for the team against NorthPort on Wednesday.
