CONVERGE defeated Terrafirma, 97-96, to win its first tuneup game in preparation for the PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup last Friday.
Juan Gomez de Liano was among the players who contributed to the win, as Calvin Abueva didn’t suit up for the FiberXers in the match, but was present to lend support to his new team.

Abueva was recently acquired by Converge in a trade with Titan Ultra for Rey Suerte, King Caralipio, and Mark Denver Omega.
Geo Chiu also saw action for the Dyip after the No. 1 pick in the Season 50 Draft recently signed a three-year contract.

Both teams had no imports for the tuneup game, with the FiberXers having yet to sign a reinforcement and Mubashar Ali set to arrive for Terrafirma next week.
