ROOKIE Mark Omega officially joined Converge just before the start of the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs.
The FiberXers signed the big man out of Letran to a contract on Tuesday, just as quarterfinals-bound teams scramble to submit their final roster for the playoffs.
Coach Delta Pineda witnessed the contract signing.
Omega was originally picked by Rain or Shine in the second round of the Season 50 draft (no. 20 overall), but was traded to Converge for the FiberXers second round pick in the Season 52 draft.

The 24-year-old Omega is coming off an NCAA finals stint with the Letran Knights, who were swept in the best-of-three series by eventual champion San Beda Red Lions.
He is the latest player to come on board for the FiberXers, who also signed veteran free agent Vic Manuel to a contract last week.
Converge secured a first ever twice-to-beat advantage in franchise history when it finished as the fourth seeded team at the end of the All-Filipino Cup eliminations.
The FiberXers are set to meet fifth seed Barangay Ginebra Kings in the quarterfinals, needing just to beat Tim Cone and his veteran team just once to advance to the semis for the first time,
