BARANGAY Ginebra coach Tim Cone said the team will make a final decision on who its import will be for the PBA 49th Season Commissioner’s Cup after the November window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers.
Cone said nothing is final on Ginebra's import of choice for the Commissioner’s Cup that will open on November 27, although he added there's an '80, 90 percent' chance that Justin Brownlee will get another call-up.

“Like I said, it’s really up to [Brownlee],” said Cone on the sidelines of the Gilas Pilipinas press conference. “I think we will decide that after the window.”
“I’d say at this point, it’s 80, 90 percent, he will be our import,” Cone added.
Doubts have been cast on the decision to play Brownlee for the second successive PBA tournament since the resident Ginebra import will be undersized in a conference featuring imports without any height restrictions.

Brownlee's fitness has also come under increased scrutiny during the last Governors' Cup Finals against TNT.
At 36, Brownlee hasn't had much rest in a stretch where he played for Pelita Jaya in the Indonesian league, answered a number of call-ups from Gilas Pilipinas, and led Ginebra to a runner-up finish last conference.
However, the 6-foot-6 has enjoyed success in the Commissioner’s Cup, winning championships during the 2018 and the 2022-23 seasons.
He even won two of his three Best Import honors during those same tournaments.
