JAYSON David was stretchered off the court in Barangay Ginebra's opening game of the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup against Macau Black Knights.
David slipped to the floor while cutting to the paint in what appeared to be a non-contact injury that somewhat put a dampen on the Gin Kings' 110-93 win over the Black Knights.
He was also seen in a wheelchair after the game was finished.

Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone didn't want to speculate on the injury, but is only hoping for the best.
“No update on Jayson. We don't really know. I don't want to speculate. Our trainers are saying he has to wait for two days before he takes an MRI. I don't want to even say that it's good or bad because I'm not a doctor and I don't really know,” said Cone.
“We will wait to find out the proper results from the MRI and let him see Dr. (Jose Raul) Canlas, and we will take it from there. We are all praying that it's not so bad, that he can be back in a few days or a week or so. We won't know that for a couple of days,” he added.
Justin Brownlee admitted that the team lost focus when David got hurt.
“When Jayson went out, it was kinda bad for us. The morale of the team kinda went down. Whenever you see somebody go down with an injury, whether it's your teammate or in the other team, it's just a bad feeling. You never want to see that,” said Brownlee.
