ZAVIER Lucero missed Tuesday’s Game Four of Magnolia against Rain or Shine in the PBA Governors’ Cup quarterfinals due to concussion protocols.
Magnolia coach Chito Victolero said Lucero is still feeling the effects of the cut he suffered last Sunday where his head hit the floor.
“Concussion protocol. Medyo masakit ‘yung ulo niya,” said Victolero.
Lucero was ruled out of Tuesday’s contest after his performance in Game Three where he had 24 points and nine rebounds in Magnolia’s 111-106 loss to Rain or Shine.

Lucero’s final field goal of Game Three was actually in the center of controversy when his shot that was blocked by Jhonard Clarito was later ruled as goaltending following a review.
Even with the former University of the Philippines standout’s absence, Magnolia won over Rain or Shine, 129-100, on Monday, sending the series into a Game Five.

With the rubber match to be played on Saturday, Lucero has enough time to recover.
“We need to see the doctor tomorrow for the CT scan. If he is good, he will play on Saturday. I think we have at least three days to prepare for another do-or-die game,” said Lucero.
