RAIN or Shine coach Yeng Guiao has been suspended for one game and slapped a P40,000 fine for his actions in the Elasto Painters’ Commissioner’s Cup game against Mahindra last Wednesday.
The fiery mentor was ejected in the first half after picking up two quick technical fouls after complaining about an offensive foul called on rookie guard Maverick Ahanmisi at the one-minute, 33-second mark of the second quarter.
Referees whistled a first technical on Guiao for resentment, before a second infraction for profanities directed at officials.
Guiao, who also flashed both his middle fingers on his way out of the court, will miss the E-Painters’ game against Tropang TNT on Monday, leaving the coaching chores to top assistant Caloy Garcia.
