AFTER Terrence Romeo and RR Garcia filed their application for the PBA rookie draft on November 3, will Kevin Louie Alas be far behind?
The former Letran star admitted on Friday he was weighing his options with an application form for the draft in his hand as the 5 p.m. deadline for the draft nears.
The son of multi-titled coach Louie Alas still is committed to the Gilas cadet pool and the NLEX team in the D-League, although he will no problem getting the blessing from both parties.
"Eto, hawak ko 'yung application ko. Sabi daw ng daddy ko, pag-isipan ko raw ng mabuti ang desisyon ko," said Alas, the MVP with Gilas in an invitational tournament in Hong Kong early this year.
If he decides to turn pro, Alas should attract plenty of interest from teams owing to his good shooting skills, high basketball IQ and athleticism.
"Bahala na po. May hanggang 5 p.m. pa naman ako to decide today," the 22-year-old former Knight said. "Gusto ko na rin kasi mag-PBA. 'Yun ang ultimate league eh."
