The Hotshots are currently lacking one big man following the ACL injury suffered by power forward Russell Escoto during the Commissioner’s Cup, although the team doesn’t really lack ceiling with Xavier Lucero, James Laput, and veteran Ian Sangalang in the roster.
Jopia wasn't re-signed by the Bossing after his two-year contract recently expired, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Jopia was the third round selection of Blackwater at No. 26 overall during the Season 48 draft. He hardly seen action in the two seasons he was with the franchise, averaging just 1.0 points and 1.5 rebounds.
Prior to joining the pros, he won an NCAA men’s basketball championship with the Red Lions in Season 99 when they defeated the Mapua Cardinals in the finals.
