THE Clark Development Corporation (CDC) will be shouldering the COVID-19 tests of all the members of the PBA delegation in the league's upcoming bubble season.
Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) president Vince Dizon said the CDC will also be providing logistical support to the PBA bubble, which is targeted to start on October 11 following a delay in the swab tests of players.
The PBA, meanwhile, is shouldering the accommodations of the players worth P65 million, according to league chairman Ricky Vargas.
“Sa aming proposal sa PBA, sasagutin na po ng CDC ang testing ng lahat ng ating mga players, coaches, staff, and lahat ng mai-involve sa bubble. Kami na rin ang tutulong sa kanila, with the help of health experts, na gumawa ng testing protocols and other logistics like transportation and security,” Dizon said.
CDC is one of the subsidiaries of the BCDA.
Dizon assures a safe environment for the PBA delegation inside the Clark Freeport Zone which he said has all the facilities that are perfect for the bubble, from the Quest Hotel where the players will be billeted to its own molecular laboratory and hospitals.
“Ang kinaganda ng Clark, ang buong Clark ay very secured. It’s an entirely gated area. Very, very strict tayo sa loob mismo. Apart from Clark that is gated, ang Mimosa itself is also gated. Lahat ng entrance, exit ng Mimosa, isasara nila during the bubble and the PBA will have exclusive use of the Quest Hotel,” said Dizon.
Transporting the players and coaches to the nearby Angeles University Foundation gym where the PBA will hold the games will also have strict protocols, he said.
“’Yung ating mga buses ay provided ng Clark. Lahat ay sanitized, disinfected, at may escorts po tayo from Clark to the City of Angeles. Tuloy-tuloy po ‘yan. Hindi lang po ang Clark at Quest ang ilalagay sa bubble, pati venues of the practices and games, lahat naka-bubble,” said Dizon.
