THIS early, Rain or Shine is keeping the core of its team intact for the next PBA season.
On Monday, ROS team management signed to guards Jhonard Clarito and Shaun Ildefonso to fresh contracts.
Both were given two-year contracts, according to their agent Danny Espiritu.
Team governor Atty. Mamerto Mondragon was present during the contract signing along with the two players and Espiritu.
Shaun was also with his mom Ren Ildefonso.
Both Clarito and Ildefonso have been major players coming off the bench for coach Yeng Guiao this season.
Shaun, son of PBA great Danny Ildefonso, was a first round pick (no. 10 overall) by the Elasto Painters during the Season 47 draft, while Clarito, out of De Ocampo College, was picked in the second round (no. 17) in the same rookie draft.
Clarito has since become a major contributor for Rain or Shine, averaging 12.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 21 minutes of playing.
Ildefonson meanwhile, is playing an average of 12 minutes per game and submitting norms of 6.3 points and 2.0 rebounds.
