CJ PEREZ and Robert Bolick face off for the first time in the PBA as Columbian takes on NorthPort in the Philippine Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
The battle between two former college foes is set at 4:30 p.m.
Perez and Bolick renew their rivalry after they were picked first and third respectively in last year’s PBA draft.
Before being selected first by the Dyip in the draft, Perez led Lyceum to two finals appearances, and won the NCAA Most Valuable Player in 2017. Bolick though won three championships with San Beda, two of which at the expense of Perez’s Pirates.
The two had memorable debuts as each scored 26 points in their first game in the pros.
Perez though is looking to lead his team on Friday after coming off a 108-98 loss to Phoenix Pulse last Wednesday.
Bolick, meantime, is eyeing to lead his team to their third straight win and tie Phoenix Pulse at first place in the team standings.
In the second game, San Miguel and Meralco collide at 7 p.m. Both are aiming to improve their mark as the Beermen and the Bolts tote similar 1-1 cards.
The Beermen are fresh from a 99-91 win over Barangay Ginebra last Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum, while the Bolts picked up a 99-94 victory over Blackwater last Saturday also in Antipolo City.
