Perez captured his first Finals MVP of his career following an impressive Game Six performance where he scored a playoff career-high 28 points.
At the end of the six-game finals series, Perez averaged 18 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 3.2 steals.
Perez became the first player since Scottie Thompson of Barangay Ginebra during the 2021-22 PBA Governors’ Cup to win the Best Player of the Conference and the Finals MVP jointly for the first time.
“CJ has been a great player. He plays offense and defense. But now, he showed his worth this conference,” said San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent.
