CJAY Perez snapped out of a shooting slump with 16 first-half points to give San Miguel a 52-47 halftime lead over TNT in Game 6 of the PBA 49th Season Philippine Cup Finals at the Philsports Arena.
Perez looked dead set on atoning for his struggles in Game 5, capping a splendid first half by draining a four-point shot with 8.1 seconds left to give the Beermen the five-point lead at the halftime intermission.

Perez only had five points on 1-of-9 shooting from the field in Game 5, but more than tripled that output after one half of Game 6 by making five of his eight attempts, putting SMB on course to wrapping up the title playoffs.
The Beermen lead the best-of-seven series, 3-2.

Perez’s four-point shot capped a 6-0 blast to end the first half, in response to TNT's own 8-0 run that put the Tropang 5G up, 47-46.
Don Trollano added 10 points for the Beermen including two threes, while June Mar Fajardo had eight points and five rebounds in the first half.
Calvin Oftana had a team-high 14 points, and RR Pogoy had 10 points for TNT, which is out to force a Game 7.
