CJ AUSTRIA has been activated by Blackwater in time for the Bossing’s game against San Miguel on Wednesday in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup.
Austria was recently picked up by Blackwater from Titan Ultra after the rookie out of La Salle was relegated to the team’s unrestricted free agent list.

Blackwater coach Pat Aquino confirmed that Austria has been activated in lieu of Jack Cruz-Dumont.
Under the league's free-agency rules, the Bossing merely assumed the one-year rookie contract that Austria signed with the Giant Risers.

The 6-foot-3 guard gives Blackwater an additional ball carrier following an injury to Dalph Panopio, who will likely sit out the rest of the elimination round due to a fractured hand.
The 16th pick in the last PBA rookie draft brings his championship experience in different levels to Blackwater, having won a UAAP title with De La Salle in 2023 and the Abra Weavers in the MPBL in 2025.
