NOT even an improved offensive showing can provide import CJ Aiken with more job security with the Columbian Dyip in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Coming off a nine-point showing in their 126-98 rout of Blackwater last Sunday, Aiken poured in 21 points on 19 shots that came with 18 boards, four blocks, and one assist in 42 minutes in their 116-103 loss to Meralco on Wednesday night.

But coach Ricky Dandan admitted their import’s fate is still hanging in the balance.

“Of course he’s up for evaluation,” Dandan said. “We’re going to meet with management tomorrow morning so we’ll see.”

But for sure, Aiken, who has anchored the Dyip’s defense, will still up suit in their next game on Saturday against NLEX in Antipolo.

“Yes, oo. We’re playing three straight eh,” Dandan said. “Tingnan natin, tingnan natin. CJ kasi has a very good attitude. He gets along with his teammates – it’s good for the team. And he knows the system already.”

“So we’ll sit down with the management tomorrow and figure things out, make a decision,” he added.

Dandan, though, admitted they already have choices for a replacement reinforcement.

“I think we have a list already,” the Dyip coach said. “We’ve always had a list. Lahat naman meron palaging Plan B yan.”
