CHRISTIAN Standhardinger wasn't around in NorthPort practice on Tuesday following the trade that sent him to the Batang Pier camp from San Miguel Beer.
Standhardinger is expected to attend Batang Pier practice on Wednesday morning, a day after the deal that brought him to NorthPort in exchange of Mo Tautuaa to San Miguel was formally approved by the league.
"Hopefully, tomorrow," said NorthPort team manager Bonnie Tan.
NorthPort has a luxury of time to incorporate Standhardinger in its scheme of things since the Batang Pier won't be playing until October 23. Incidentally, that game will be against Stanhardinger’s former team San Miguel.
The Fil-German was traded two years after being the No. 1 draft pick of San Miguel in 2017, but the Beermen were able to get the top pick in a trade with Columbian in exchange of Rashawn McCarthy, Jay-R Reyes, and Ronald Tubid.
