CHRIS Ross and coach Tim Cone let bygones be bygones as the two spoke to each other moments after the PBA Philippine Cup Finals came to an end on Sunday night when San Miguel Beer came out on top at the expense of Barangay Ginebra.

Days after figuring in a commotion at the end of Game Three following Ross’ garbage-time triple that riled Cone, the two took time to air each other’s thoughts and put the past where it should be.

“He said, ‘I know, Chris, what type of person you are,’” said Ross, the Press Corps Finals MVP after dishing out an all-around performance throughout the series. “He said it’s in the past and he congratulated me on the win, and I congratulated him on all his success.”

After all, Cone managed to steer the seventh-seeded and banged-up Gin Kings all the way back to the finals less than five months after ruling last season’s Governors’ Cup.
