CHRIS Banchero joined his new teammates on Monday to officially become a Magnolia player following a trade with Alaska.
Banchero attended his first practice with the Hotshots on Monday, a day after the PBA approved the deal that also sent Robbie Herndon and Rodney Brondial to Alaska.
Banchero came in early on Monday along with a few of his teammates to learn the system of head coach Chito Victolero. He will practice with the team again this afternoon.
Banchero has a few days before getting the chance to see action with Hotshots, who are set to play on Wednesday against Phoenix Pulse at the Cuneta Astrodome.
A fifth overall pick in the 2014 draft, Banchero played for Alaska for five years before being traded to Magnolia, which is hopeful that their newest player can turn things around for the Hotshots.
Magnolia is in sixth place with a 4-4 win-loss record, but had a string of three straight defeats before beating Columbian last Sunday.
