BOL Bol has left the country after his PBA stint came to an unfortunate end during the Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.
TNT coach Chot Reyes obviously has fond memories of the former NBA player who came and captured the hearts of Filipino fans, despite a few idiosyncracies, including not easily being accesssible to patrons and media.

Bol Bol, a Sudanese-American, was firmly adjusting to his role as star and facilitator when he tore his left Achilles heel, cutting short his stay.
A few days later, he was on his way to the US where a doctor will try to mend the injured Achilles and, hopefully, make it serviceable again.
Coach Reyes posted an Instagram video of Bol riding a van and on his way to the airport, saying: “Goodbye for now @bolbol. Hope to work with you again.”

The 7-foot-3 Bol has since been replaced by Chris McCullough, who will look to finish what Bol started and complete a successful title defense in the 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup.
