IT looks like Bol Bol will be monitoring TNT’s games in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup Finals against Barangay Ginebra.
TNT coach Chot Reyes said Bol messaged the team prior to Game 6 of the semifinals against Meralco which the Tropang 5G won, 97-94, last Sunday, days after the 7-foot-3 import left the Philippines to undergo surgery for his torn Achilles heal.

“Hindi ko puwedeng sabihin dito. Sabi niya ‘Let’s f***ng go.’ Let’s get five more,” said Reyes.
Bol suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Game 2 that threatened to derail TNT’s title-retention bid. But TNT recovered by winning Game 3 with an all-Filipino crew against Meralco, 77-75, to gain a 2-1 series lead.
TNT later found a replacement in Chris McCullough, who helped the Tropang 5G put away the Bolts in six games.
The Tropang 5G take on Barangay Ginebra in the best-of-seven championship series beginning on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Reyes appreciates Bol’s continued support to the team.
“Grabe ‘yung mga messages niya. It’s very private for us in our team group chat and even our personal messages between coach and player. Very heartfelt messages. I really appreciate the messages that Bol gave us, the team and to me,” said Reyes.
“What an honor and what a privilege for a coach like me to be able to coach a player like Bol,” Reyes added.
