CHOT Reyes will still play a huge part for TNT in the coming PBA Governors’ Cup even as he slides into a different role to focus on his duties as Gilas Pilipinas head coach.
Reyes answered in the affirmative when asked if he will still be attending TNT games if there will be no conflicts with his schedule for the national team.

Jojo Lastimosa temporarily took the helm as head coach of the Tropang GIGA as Reyes prepares Gilas for the Fiba Basketball World Cup.
“I will be senior consultant to allow me to focus on Gilas this year,” said Reyes on Tuesday.
Lastimosa will be the head coach of TNT but the Tropang GIGA have also hired Serbian coach Slavoljub Lale Gorunovic to serve as an active consultant.
Last year, Gorunovic was the head coach of the Kaohsiung Steelers in Taiwan where former NBA player Jeremy Lin played.
Gorunovic also had coaching stints in China, Tunisia, Morocco, Kuwait, and Turkey.
TNT is no longer new to the current set-up after Mark Dickel served as an active consultant for the Tropang GIGA from 2018 to 2020.
The Tropang GIGA open their campaign in the Governors’ Cup against Phoenix on Wednesday, January 25.
