FORMER Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes is back in TNT as he will serve as an advisor for the team this upcoming 2019 PBA season.
Reyes, an eight-time PBA champion and five-time Coach of the Year, returns to the pro league after focusing on his national team obligations seven years back.
His last foray in the PBA saw him lead the then-Tropang Texters to four titles, his last in the 2012 Philippine Cup.
Reyes' addition continues the reorganization for the flagship team of the MVP Group as they try to put behind what has been a disastrous 2018 PBA season.
He served as the motivational speaker to TNT in its four-day team building at Splendido Hotel in Tagaytay, which ended on Saturday, Spin.ph sources bared.
Aside from the 55-year-old Reyes, former assistant coach Josh Reyes also returned to the KaTropa coaching staff as he'll work hand-in-hand with head coach Bong Ravena and team consultant Mark Dickel.
The younger Reyes, a former Batang Gilas head coach and a former national team deputy, will be part of the rejigged KaTropa coaching staff, which includes Sandy Arespacochaga, Yuri Escueta, and holdover Alton Lister.
