ALASKA renewed the contracts of three big men who played key roles in the team’s runner-up finish to Magnolia in the last PBA Governors Cup.

The Aces gave Carl Bryan Cruz and Jake Pascual a two-year deal each, while veteran Noy Baclao agreed to a one-year contract extension.

The 31-year-old Baclao, who has been with Alaska the past four seasons, was actually tendered a similar two-year contract, but opted to take just a one-year offer.

Terms of all three deals weren’t made available, although having all of them back for another tour of duty was essential for the Aces after they played well during the last Governors Cup Finals against the Hotshots.

The proud franchise is also set to bring back lanky big man Yutien Andrada, who is set to be given a new contract.

The Aces earlier let go of big man Marion Magat, Karl Dehesa, and Ronald Pascual, but they signed up rookies draftees Jesper Ayaay and Gideon Babilonia.

Alaska has yet to start practicing for the new season. It won't play in the season-opening Philippine Cup until Feb. 3 against Rain or Shine at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
