IS Alaska getting Carlos Boozer as its import for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup?
SPIN.ph got wind of the rumor that’s been circulating online that the Aces are tapping the services of the former NBA star power forward as their reinforcement for the midseason tournament.
But Aces coach Alex Compton immediately shot down the talk that they’re getting Boozer, the 13-year NBA veteran who’s now playing in the Chinese Basketball Association for the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
“Not true,” Compton said in a text message late Monday night.
Compton said they have yet to find an import for the upcoming tournament that unfolds on March 17.
A message to team governor Dickie Bachmann was yet to be answered at posting time.
