COLUMBIAN Dyip unloaded three players from last year’s roster including talented but enigmatic Carlo Lastimosa.
Also out of the team for the coming PBA 44th season aside from Lastimosa are Dylan Ababou and Dan Sarah, SPIN.ph learned from sources.
All three were signed as free agent acquisitions by the Dyip last season.
The contracts of the three players were not renewed. Their roster spots will be taken by CJ Perez, the No. 1 overall pick in the last draft, and fellow rookies JP Calvo and Jeepy Faundo.
Ababou is currently trying out for a spot at NorthPort.
The Dyip have fairly completed their roster for the season-ending Philippine Cup following the signing of Perez and the two other rookies.
Retained by the Dyip are Jerramy King, Rashawn McCarthy, Jackson Corpuz, Russel Escoto, Andreas Cahilig, Reden Celda, Glenn Khobuntin, and veteran Jay-R Reyes.
Also on board are Eric Camson, Roider Cabrera, Jonjon Gabriel, and newly-acquired Keith Agovida, who came in by way of the Ronald Tubid trade.
Just before the New Year holidays, the Dyip held a three-day, stay-in camp at the team’s training facility at the Azure Urban Residences as part of their preparation for the Philippine Cup, which kicks off on January 13.
