CARL Bryan Cruz is relishing a perfect opportunity for Alaska's second stringers to prove they belong.
The former Gilas Pilipinas mainstay and his fellow relievers were left to hold the fort on Wednesday as Alaska showed up with just 10 players in uniform following injuries to JVee Casio, Simon Enciso, Kevin Racal, and Manuel.
Cruz made the most out of his minutes in Alaska’s 94-72 win over Columbian, scoring 20 points behind four three-pointers and grabbing nine rebounds.
The former Far Eastern University forward said coach Alex Compton's system holds the key for Alaska, regardless of which players are healthy to play.
