CALVIN Abueva attended Phoenix Pulse practice on Thursday morning at The Upper Deck for the first time since being slapped with an indefinite suspension by the PBA.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial on Wednesday granted Abueva’s request to join Phoenix Pulse practice to get back in shape.
Marcial’s decision to allow Abueva back in practice is a big step towards a return to the court after the former Rookie of the Year was slapped with an indefinite suspension for a clothesline hit against TNT import Terrence Jones during a Commissioner’s Cup match in Antipolo City.

Marcial, however, made it clear that granting Abueva’s request doesn’t mean that the enigmatic forward is closer to the lifting of the suspension.
