CALVIN Abueva showed up at Phoenix practice on Wednesday, a day after being traded by Alaska.
Abueva didn’t play with the Fuel Masters in their tune-up match against NLEX at the Upper Deck gym, but made sure he was present for his new team.
Abueva on Tuesday was traded from Alaska to Phoenix in exchange for a 2019 first-round draft pick and Karl Dehesa, ending a six-year stint with the Aces.
The enigmatic forward was suspended indefinitely by Alaska after going missing for over a week early this year. Despite the team ban, he was allowed by the club to play for Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba Basketball World Cup Asia qualifiers.
