ANTIPOLO – Calvin Abueva was ejected during Sunday’s match between Phoenix Pulse and TNT for a clothesline on import Terrence Jones.
Abueva was thrown out of the game after a flagrant foul penalty two with 7:03 left in the fourth after hitting Jones in the face.
It has been a heated affair that saw Phoenix Pulse coach Louie Alas and players David Semerad and Anthony Semerad of TNT, and Jason Perkins of Phoenix Pulse.
Abueva is also coming off a controversial game on Friday where he was accused of doing lewd gestures against Bobby Ray Parks’ girlfriend Maika Rivera.
Prior to the ejection, Abueva and Jones were already having a heated exchange, with Abueva even complaining that he was hit in the groin area by Jones.
Jones even celebrated Abueva’s ejection by dancing in front of the TNT fans near the team’s bench.
