PHOENIX coach Topex Robinson shrugged off the antics Calvin Abueva were doing against Phoenix during its quarterfinals matchup with Magnolia in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.
Topex on Calvin Abueva antics
Robinson could only flashed a smile on his face when asked about the numerous incident in which Abueva was seen taunting Robinson and his former teammates on the sidelines.
Having coached and known Abueva dating back from their Alaska days, Robinson knows everything was but a mind game.
"It's just Calvin being Calvin," said the Phoenix coach. "Nothing personal."
During the second half of the game at Philsports Arena, Abueva was seen sticking out his tonque on Robinson, and at one time, dance in front of his former coach during a lull in the match.
He also run in front of the Phoenix bench shortly after converting a bssket while flashing a quirky smile.
But Abueva was all business in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 of his 19 points to help the top seeded Hotshots score a tight 102-95 win and advance to the semifinals.
Despite the antics of Abueva, Robinson said he doesn't feel bad about his former star player.
"I love Calvin," the Phoenic coach emphatically said.
