JUSTIN Brownlee entered the top five of the PBA imports scoring list in Game Six of the Governors’ Cup finals on Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Brownlee scored 24 points during the coronation of Ginebra’s championship to reach 4,539 for his career, surpassing the mark of Billy Ray Bates (4,523) for fifth place in the all-time scoring list.
Meralco coach Norman Black is on top of the list with 11,329 followed by seven-time PBA Best Import Bobby Parks with 8,955, Sean Chambers with 8,225, and Lou Massey with 5,386.
Brownlee said making it to the top five is a great honor especially knowing the great players that is on the list.

“It feels great to be in the company of things in the league,” said Brownlee. “I feel like this is a great league, very established, have a lot of history, have a lot of great players – import and local players. It feels great to keep accomplishing things in this league because it means a lot.”
Brownlee knows his PBA history and understands Bates' role in Ginebra's previous title runs.
“I definitely did my history on the imports that has played here. I know he is a great import and he has a lot of success. He is one of the best, if not the best, to play here. It’s always great to be mentioned with those guys and Norman Black. It’s great. Great feeling,” said Brownlee.
