JUSTINE Brownlee churned out anothe triple-double and helped Barangay Ginebra avert another meltdown as it dealt San Miguel its first loss in the PBA Governors Cup, 129-124, on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The do-it-all import finished with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists while presiding over a crucial 9-3 run going home that settled the game in the Kings' favor.

"What a challenge to play this team," Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone said after the thrilling game that had fans on the edge of their seats in the endgame.

It was the second triple-double effort for Brownlee following his 42 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists stats line in Ginebra's 113-111 overtime loss to NLEX last week in Dubai where the Kings failed to protect a 28-point lead.

The win evened Ginebra's record at 2-2 and put a stop to the team's two-game skid.
