JUSTIN Brownlee's status for Game 4 of the PBA 49th Season Commissioner's Cup finals remains uncertain, as of posting time.
Brownlee's dislocated right thumb is slated to be checked by a hand specialist to determine the extent of the injury, according to Barangay Ginebra team governor Alfrancis Chua.

The development comes with the Gin Kings only having a one-day turnaround before Game 4 of the finals on Friday at the Ynares Center where Ginebra will look to even the series, but with the possibility of playing sans Brownlee - or any import, for that matter.
Brownlee sustained the injury while diving for a loose ball in the third quarter of the Gin Kings' Game 3 vs. TNT at the Philsports Arena.

Ginebra, put on a gallant stand but eventually fell to the Tropang Giga, 87-85, to drop to 1-2 in the finals series.
Brownlee finished with 19 points, four rebounds, six assists, and one block in 28 minutes of action before leaving the game with the injury.
The Gin Kings' resident import and Gilas Pilipinas naturalized player was fresh from a heroic performance in Game 2 where he had 35 points, including the last four in their 71-70 victory over TNT.
