BONG Quinto has been to numerous wars, but is not denying he is feeling the nerves ahead of the 2018 PBA Rookie Draft.
"Mixed emotions talaga. Lahat ng paghihirap ko, bukas hanggang Sunday, malalaman mo kung worth it ba," the Letran forward said on Tuesday in the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum at Tapa King in Cubao.
A former NCAA Juniors MVP, champion with the Knights in 2015 and a member of the Mythical Team this past Season 94, Quinto says nothing can quite compare to the excitement and anxiety ahead of the two-day Draft Combine and the leadup to the Draft proper on Sunday.
"Magkaiba talaga ang feeling," he said.
Seen to land in the middle of the first round, the 6-foot swingman is ready to accept what fate brings him as he slowly realizes his lifelong dream of competing with the best ballers in the country.
"Go with the flow lang. Yung sistema na binibigay ng coaches sa training, sinusunod ko lang," he said, unmindful of what team will take him from the 48-man rookie field.
