ROBERT Bolick is set to chase for team and individual glory after NLEX’s win on Saturday that put the Road Warriors in the semifinals of the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup.
Bolick led the Road Warriors with 23 points on 3-of-4 shooting from the fours and 3-of-4 for threes in their 137-89 win over Phoenix to sweep the quarterfinal series.
With NLEX advancing to the semifinals, the former guard out of San Beda also became a strong contender for the Best Player of the Conference honors for being the statistical points leader in the standings, as of the elimination round.

Bolick didn’t hide that he is hopeful to finally get that coveted individual award of the conference for the first time after several times that he is on the top of the statistical standings.
But he made it clear that his main focus is the championship.
“Siyempre, masaya ‘yun. As a player, hindi naman ‘yun (individual awards) ‘yung hangad namin. Parang lahat kami gusto championship,” said Bolick.
And masaya ako na at least ngayon, may opportunity ako na manalo,” he added.

Bolick credited his teammates for making that individual and team achievement possible.
“Hopefully, manalo na talaga,” Bolick said with a smile.
Bolick was like a house on fire with his fiery shooting that got NLEX ahead at the end of the first quarter, 43-21, following a four-point shot in the final seconds.
The Road Warriors never wavered after that.
