BOBBY Ray Parks will see how his NBA Summer League stint will go before deciding on whether to apply for the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft or not, his agent told Spin.ph.

Agent Charlie Dy said Parks is totally focused on his fortcoming stint with the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Summer League after getting an invitation to join the squad for the July 4-20 tournament.

“(The NBA Summer League) July 4 to 20 ‘yun eh. We will take it one day at a time. Titignan muna natin ‘yung resulta ng Summer League,” said Dy.

Despite being left undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, Parks' bid to play in the world's premier league got a boost when he got an invitation to join the Mavericks in what amounts to a tryout for players wishing to be part of the regular season roster.

Draftees like Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves, D’Angelo Russell of the Los Angeles Lakers, and Jahlil Okafor of the Philadelphia 76ers are also expected to join their respective teams in the Summer League.

By joining the NBA Summer League, Dy said Parks still have enough time to decide whether to apply for the PBA Draft this year since it will be held on August 23.

“Ang draft naman is this August,” Dy added.

The deadline for the filing of applications for the rookie draft is June 30 for Fil-foreign players and August 7 for local players. Parks is believed to fall in the local player category since he is a passport holder who has represented the Philippines in tournaments overseas.
