BLACKWATER spent more time than usual at the SGS gym in Quezon City after practice on Thursday morning – but not for extra work as it seeks to barge into the PBA Governors' Cup win column ahead of a daunting task against San Miguel Beer on Saturday.

The Elite were among those stranded due to the heavy rain that hit the flood-prone Araneta Ave. area caused by Typhoon Gorio.

Elite forward Niño Canaleta posted a video on his Instragram, making light of the situation that forced the players to hang around long after the end of practice.

It was the same venue where a national youth team, coached by Olsen Racela, was also stranded – for 20 hours – in 2012.

Here's Canaleta's VIDEO posted on Instagram:

Team manager Johnson Martines later confirmed members of the team were indeed stranded, but said most of the players have already made their way through the floods.
