BLACKWATER hopes to turn its fortunes around in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup by parading a new import in Robert Upshaw III.

The 7-foot native of Fresno, California takes over the injured Daniel Ochefu and has been signed and activated in time for the Bossing’s Sunday game against the Magnolia Hotshots at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The 32-year-old Ochefu has been bothered by a hyperextended knee, according to coach Jeff Cariaso, so much so the Bossing already brought in the 32-year-old Upshaw and had him on standby.

Upshaw was at the Antipolo venue watching from behind the Blackwater bench on Wednesday when Terrafirma dealt the Bossing a second straight loss, 99-88.

Blackwater became the second team to tap a replacement import in the mid-season conference after Magnolia.
