BLACKWATER signed its third rookie for the PBA season after it came to terms with big man James Una.

The 6-foot-5 power forward agreed to a two-year deal with the Bossing on Monday.

Una was a fourth-round pick of the Bossing at No. 38 overall in the last PBA draft and will join fellow rookies Dalph Panopio and Jack Cruz-Dumont in the Blackwater roster.

He was accompanied by his representative Danny Espiritu during the contract signing also attended by coach Jeff Cariaso and Bossing assistant team manager Rhona Tibor.

A product of San Sebastian, Una was finally eligible to be signed up after his stint with Zamboanga in the MPBL ended last week after the team was eliminated by Batangas City in their best-of-three quarterfinals.

"So he's able to join us right away. We're happy to have him," sad Cariaso after the signing.

The Blackwater coach believes Una will be able to fill the void lacking at the team's small power forward position.

"What we feel he can bring us is what he's good at - his motor is really good, high energy, will defend well, will defend with toughness, and will rebound. We like that about him," said Cariaso.
